Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have severe hypersplenism (enlarged spleen destroying blood cells) caused by cirrhosis (scarring of the liver).
- Your white blood cells are less than 3000, and/or your platelets are less than 50000.
- Standard medicines to raise blood cell counts haven't worked well for you.
- You are having symptoms (like anxiety) or other problems from hypersplenism that need treatment.
