Who can take part
- Your child should be 4 to 6 years old and in good overall health.
- The tooth must have a deep cavity that causes pain on its own and bleeds from the nerve when cleaned – bleeding lasts more than 5 minutes.
- The tooth must be fixable (restorable) with a filling or crown.
- There cannot be any signs of infection like swelling, tenderness, or loose tooth, and no signs of damage on the tooth's roots on an X-ray.
- The tooth must not have had any previous treatment (like a filling or nerve treatment).
- You must be able to come back for follow-up visits as needed.
