- Your child's tooth pain happens on its own and can last from a few seconds to several hours.
- The pain gets worse with hot or cold food/drinks and does not go away quickly after the hot or cold is removed.
- The inner nerve tissue of the tooth (pulp) must be alive and healthy-looking, with bleeding that stops within 6 minutes.
- No signs of infection around the root or between the roots on an x-ray.
- Your child must be healthy overall and cooperative during dental treatment.
