- Your baby is a newborn (less than 28 days old) and was born early (before 37 weeks).
- Your baby has a confirmed or very likely infection (sepsis) and is on IV antibiotics.

- Your baby has already received IV fluids and strong blood pressure medicines but is still in shock.
