Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 and 17 years old.
  • Your child has a clinical diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) with fever and fast breathing.
  • Your child tests positive for mycoplasma pneumonia using a rapid test.
  • Your child has no history of allergy to azithromycin, heart problems, or other serious lung conditions.
  • Your child has not taken antibiotics for mycoplasma in the last 7 days.
  • Your child can take oral medication and you can complete follow-up visits.
