Focused Ultrasound for Essential Tremor

Essential Tremor

Part of Brain & nervous system clinical trials.

This trial tests a focused ultrasound treatment for essential tremor that uses MRI to guide sound waves to stop the shaking. It might help if other treatments haven't worked well enough.

NCT07006740Not yet recruiting
Focused ultrasound for essential tremor

This trial tests a noninvasive procedure that uses focused ultrasound waves to target a small area in the brain responsible for tremor. It may offer a new option for people with essential tremor whose symptoms are not well controlled by medication.

NCT07599592Recruiting· Early Phase 1
Ultrasound Treatment for Essential Tremor

This early-stage study tests whether focused ultrasound waves can safely reduce hand tremors in people with essential tremor. The ultrasound is applied from outside the skin without surgery, and researchers want to see if it helps calm unwanted shaking.

NCT07212244Recruiting
Focused ultrasound for hard-to-treat tremor

This study uses a focused ultrasound treatment guided by MRI to calm hand tremors in people with essential tremor that hasn't responded to medication. It aims to improve daily life by reducing shaking without the need for surgery.

NCT06610877Recruiting
Ultrasound treatment for essential tremor

This trial tests if a focused ultrasound treatment can help people with essential tremor that hasn't improved with medication. It is designed for those already scheduled for a similar procedure using MRI guidance.

NCT07508696Not yet recruiting
Ultrasound brain stimulation for essential tremor

This study uses ultrasound to gently stimulate the brain’s cerebellum. It’s checking if this can improve symptoms for people with essential tremor (a shaking condition) or help us understand brain function in healthy volunteers.

NCT07172295Recruiting
Low-intensity focused ultrasound for hand tremor

This study uses low-intensity focused ultrasound to stimulate a deep brain area and reduce hand tremors. It is for people with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, or dystonic tremor whose medications don't work well enough.
