Who can take part
- Healthy volunteers must be 18-55 years old; people with essential tremor can be 18-75.
- No serious mental illness, seizures, or metal in your body that isn’t safe for MRI.
- No alcohol or caffeine for at least 2 hours before the study (up to 12 hours for ET participants).
- No pregnancy, breastfeeding, or history of head injury with loss of consciousness.
- Hair must not be in dreadlocks, braids, or weaves (so the ultrasound can work).
- Must be willing to follow the study schedule and be still in an MRI scanner.
