Zephyr Valve study for severe COPD patients in Japan

Who can take part

  • You must have completed a breathing rehab program within the last 6 months.
  • You must have not smoked for at least 4 months.
  • You must have a doctor's order for a test showing your lungs are overinflated and your breathing capacity is between 15% and 45% of normal.
  • You must be able to walk between 100 and 500 meters in 6 minutes.
  • You must have shortness of breath that limits daily activities (score of 2 or higher on a standard scale).
  • You must have a test confirming there is little to no air leakage between the lung lobes where the valve will be placed.
