Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma or plasma cell leukemia.
  • You must have tried at least one previous treatment (for plasma cell leukemia) or a specific set of treatments (for multiple myeloma) and your cancer must have stopped responding to the last treatment.
  • You must be able to have cells collected through a process called apheresis.
  • You must be in fairly good health, with a performance status of 0 or 1 on the ECOG scale.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must use effective birth control for at least 12 months after treatment.
