Who can take part
- You are 50 years or older and your doctor suspects you have giant cell arteritis (GCA), a kind of vasculitis.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
- You do not have a folate (folic acid) deficiency.
- You can avoid eating or drinking anything except water for 6 hours before the PET scan.
- You can lie still for about 45 minutes for the scan.
