  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been hospitalized for heart failure (when your heart suddenly cannot pump enough blood)
  • You do not have a mechanical heart pump (ventricular assist device)
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have a heart condition you were born with (congenital heart disease)
  • You agree to take part in the study
