Who can take part

  • You are a cadet at the United States Military Academy
  • You are between the ages of 17 and 27
  • You are having a first-time or revision ACL reconstruction surgery
  • You have not had certain other knee surgeries (like bone realignment, cartilage repair, or MCL/LCL/PCL repair)
  • You do not have a pacemaker, seizure disorder, unstable heart condition, or other conditions that prevent using the electrical stimulation device
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant, and you don't have a meniscus tear that requires 6 weeks of no weight-bearing
