Pain relief after knee surgery: electric stimulation study

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Rehabilitation

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 55 years old.
  • You had ACL knee surgery within the past 6 weeks, and you still have pain in that knee.
  • You do NOT have any of these: a pacemaker, epilepsy, heart disease, cancer, bleeding disorders, severe fear of needles, or pregnancy.
  • You do NOT have chronic joint problems, a history of spine surgery or a herniated disk, or a body mass index (BMI) over 30.
  • You are not taking any pain medication or receiving other treatments for this problem during the study.
