Who can take part
- You are 18 to 65 years old.
- You have lung cancer and are scheduled for VATS (keyhole) surgery (wedge, segmentectomy, or lobectomy).
- Your weight is not very low (BMI at least 18.5) and not very high (BMI no more than 35).
- Your kidney function is normal (creatinine levels below 1.3 for men, 1.1 for women).
- You have not used steroids or anti-inflammatory pain relievers (like ibuprofen) for more than 30 days and do not have heart failure or fluid in the lungs.
