Kidney injury risk after pulmonary artery surgery

Acute Kidney Injury

Part of Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks at how often acute kidney injury happens after a type of heart-lung surgery called pulmonary endarterectomy, which is used to treat blood clots or tumors in the lung arteries. If you are scheduled for or have had this surgery, the information gathered may help doctors better understand and prevent kidney problems.

Kidney injury costs after heart surgery in the UK

This study looks at patients who had heart surgery with a heart-lung machine (cardiopulmonary bypass) to understand how much it costs to treat kidney injury that may happen after surgery. It may help find ways to reduce kidney problems in the future.
