Urethral stricture surgery database study

This study looks at a surgical procedure (urethroplasty) for a condition where the urethra becomes narrowed (urethral stricture). If you join, you will be asked to consent to take part and follow the study rules.

This study compares two surgical techniques to repair a short (2 cm or less) narrowing in the bulbar urethra. It aims to see which method works better for men with non-traumatic strictures.

This study is testing a new ultrasound measurement called the Urethral Resistive Index (URI) to see if it can accurately diagnose urethral stricture (a narrowing in the tube that carries urine out of the body). The goal is to find a less invasive way to diagnose blockages without needing a scope.

This study compares two ways of removing hair before surgery in men having repair for a narrow urethra. The goal is to see which method reduces bacteria on the skin more effectively, possibly lowering infection risk.

This early study tests whether an engineered urethral patch made from your own body tissue is safe and workable for urethral strictures (narrowing that blocks urine flow). It is mainly looking for safety and how feasible the procedure and follow-up are, not proven cure yet.

This study compares doing a graft in the first versus the second step of a two-stage urethral repair in men with a penile urethral narrowing. It uses oral lining tissue as the graft and aims to see which timing approach works best for healing and function.
