Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old.
  • You have a bulbar urethral stricture (a narrowing in the urethra that runs through the base of the penis) that is 2 cm or shorter.
  • The stricture was not caused by an injury or accident.
  • You have not had surgery on your urethra before and were not born with hypospadias.
  • You are willing and able to follow the care plan after surgery.
  • You do not have a completely blocked stricture, uncontrolled diabetes, a weakened immune system, or a history of pelvic radiation.
