Who can take part
- You must have a type of cancer that has spread to the liver (specific types like colorectal, pancreatic, head and neck, cervical, skin, or lung cancer).
- You can have 1 to 3 liver tumors that are at least 2 cm away from your bile ducts and bowel, and each tumor must be 6 cm or smaller.
- Your liver function needs to be good (Child-Pugh score A), and you should be generally healthy enough to lie still for an hour during treatment.
- You must be 18 or older, and your doctor expects you to live more than 6 months.
- If you could become pregnant, you must use effective birth control during treatment and for 6 months after. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot join.
- You cannot have had certain other treatments to your liver (like radiation beads) or have metal implants that prevent MRI.
