Using radiation to help immunotherapy work again in metastatic cancer

This study tests whether targeted radiation can help your immune system respond to immunotherapy again if your cancer has stopped responding. You would continue your current immunotherapy and receive a few focused radiation doses to one tumor site.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body and is a solid tumor (not blood cancer)
  • You have been on an anti-PD1 immunotherapy for at least 6 months and the cancer recently started growing again
  • You have at least one tumor that can be treated with stereotactic radiation and another that can be measured by scans
  • Your general health is good enough that you can care for yourself (performance status 0 or 1)
  • You do not have a pacemaker or other active implanted device that could interfere with radiation
