Skin care bundle to prevent bed sores in hospitalized adults
Part of Skin clinical trials.
This trial tests a special care bundle (a set of skin checks, cleaning, and repositioning steps) to prevent pressure injuries (bed sores) in hospitalized adults who are able to move somewhat on their own. It is meant for people without existing bed sores or major skin problems, and who are not in intensive care or certain other units.

This study tests a special care plan to prevent bedsores (pressure injuries) in intensive care patients and looks at whether it helps reduce both how often they happen and the costs. It may help if you or a loved one is admitted to the ICU for at least 24 hours and does not already have a bedsore.
This study tests if a web-based training program for nurses can help prevent bed sores (pressure injuries) in intensive care patients. It looks at both how nurses learn and how patients' skin health improves.
This study tests a special care package designed to prevent pressure ulcers (bed sores) in surgical patients. If you are having orthopaedic surgery and are not already at high risk, this package may help protect your skin during recovery.
This trial looks at how blood pressure affects the development of bedsores in patients who are in the intensive care unit and unable to move. You may be able to join if you're between 18 and 70 years old, can't leave your bed, and do not already have bedsores.
This trial uses an ultrasound score to see if it can predict which ICU patients will get bedsores (pressure injuries). It has two parts: first, they develop and test the score; second, they check if telling nurses the score helps prevent bedsores.
This study tests whether a gel made from aloe vera and peppermint can help prevent pressure injuries (bedsores) in patients staying in the intensive care unit. Pressure injuries are painful sores that form when skin stays in one position too long, and this gel might help protect vulnerable skin.
