Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with liver cancer (HCC) that is confirmed by either a biopsy or special imaging scans.
  • You must be 18 years or older and able to understand and sign a consent form.
  • You should be able to care for yourself most of the day (ECOG score 0-2).
  • Your liver function must be in a certain range (Child-Pugh score 5 to 9) within the last month.
  • You need to know your hepatitis B and C status (testing can be done).
  • Your cancer should not have spread to distant organs that can't be treated with radiation.
