Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are overweight or obese with a BMI between 29.0 and 37.0.
  • You have a specific type of body fat distribution: either upper body/visceral obesity or lower body obesity.
  • You are willing to eat only the meals provided by the research clinic for 3 days before the study.
  • You are not pregnant or nursing (if female).
  • You do not smoke, have diabetes, or use certain medications that affect fat metabolism.
