Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older with a specific type of lung cancer called large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC).
  • Your cancer is either stage III (can't be treated with surgery or radiation) or stage IV (spread), and you haven't had chemotherapy for advanced disease.
  • You are in fairly good health: you can care for yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1), weigh more than 66 pounds, and have adequate organ function.
  • You have not had prior treatment with immunotherapy drugs like durvalumab (Imfinzi), pembrolizumab (Keytruda), or nivolumab (Opdivo).
  • You do not have an active autoimmune disease (like lupus or Crohn's), uncontrolled infections, or other serious medical conditions (like heart disease).
