Who can take part

  • You are 50 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with dry AMD that has caused a large area of damage (geographic atrophy) in the center of your retina.
  • Your vision in the study eye is very poor (20/200 or worse) for Phase 1, or moderately reduced (20/64 or better) for Phase 2a.
  • The other (non-study) eye has vision that is at least as good as the study eye.
  • You are healthy enough for eye surgery (vitrectomy) and to take medicines that suppress the immune system (immunosuppression).
