Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with MIDD and have not yet received treatment for it (except for a small amount of steroids).
  • Your overall health is fairly good (able to care for yourself and up and about more than half of the day).
  • Your blood counts are stable: neutrophils at least 1.0, hemoglobin at least 7.0, and platelets at least 50.
  • Your liver function is adequate (bilirubin and liver enzymes not too high).
  • You do not have active multiple myeloma, another active cancer that has spread, or an uncontrolled infection.
