Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have moderate to severe leg symptoms (Rutherford category 2, 3, or 4), such as pain while walking, pain at rest, or a small wound on your leg.
  • Your leg artery blockage is caused by a blood clot that formed within the last 30 days.
  • The blockage is in the upper or lower leg, or the first 10 cm of the artery below the knee.
  • You are not allergic to contrast dye or all blood thinners, and you have no active bleeding problems.
