Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have a bleeding around the brain (subarachnoid hemorrhage) that started on its own.
  • Your bleeding is rated as moderate to severe (Hunt-Hess score 3 or 4).
  • You arrived at the hospital within 24 hours of the bleeding starting.
  • You do not have a history of chronic lung disease, autoimmune disease, or a weak immune system.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are not taking other immune-suppressing drugs.
