Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 79 years old.
  • You had a traumatic brain injury and were admitted to the hospital within 24 hours.
  • A CT scan shows bleeding inside the brain (with or without other types of bleeding).
  • Your Glasgow Coma Scale (level of consciousness) score is between 5 and 12 at enrollment.
  • You have a closed head injury (not an open wound to the head).
  • You have no sign of infection when you join the trial.
