Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older with a confirmed diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
  • Your AML should be in remission (or near-remission) at the time of screening.
  • You must have a specific gene change: either a KMT2A rearrangement or an NPM1 mutation.
  • You will be getting your first stem cell transplant from a matched related donor, unrelated donor, haploidentical donor, or cord blood.
  • The transplant will use either standard high-dose or reduced-intensity conditioning (chemo/radiation).
  • You must have good organ function (heart, liver, kidneys) and be in generally good health.
