Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with either an NPM1 mutation or a KMT2A rearrangement.
  • You must be age 18 or older and not eligible for or willing to receive standard chemotherapy, due to age (75+), or because of other health problems like heart, lung, or kidney issues.
  • Your white blood cell count must be 10,000 or lower (can be lowered with other medicines before starting).
  • You must not have had any prior AML treatment except hydroxyurea or cytarabine to control cell counts.
  • You must agree to use effective contraception if applicable, and cannot be pregnant or nursing.
  • You cannot have active infections or other serious medical conditions that would make the trial unsafe.
