Who can take part

  • You must have a certain type of thyroid cancer that has a BRAF V600E gene mutation.
  • Your cancer must be considered "high risk" for recurrence, meaning it has spread outside the thyroid, involves large lymph nodes, or has other concerning features.
  • You cannot have had previous treatment with drugs that target BRAF or MEK (like vemurafenib or cobimetinib) or certain other targeted therapies.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, have good organ function (kidneys, liver, blood counts), and controlled blood pressure.
  • You must be willing to avoid pregnancy or father a child by using effective birth control during and for a year after treatment.
