Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • You have a traumatic spinal cord injury from an accident, fall, or other trauma.
  • Your injury happened more than 1 year ago.
  • You have paraplegia (injury below the chest) and complete or near-complete loss of feeling and movement (ASIA A or B).
  • You do not have a history of major health issues like high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or autoimmune disease, and you have not smoked or used alcohol in the past year.
