Who can take part

  • Your child is healthy or has only mild health problems (ASA class I or II).
  • Your child is having planned surgery under general anesthesia.
  • Your child does not have any birth defects of the upper airway.
  • Your child has no swelling, scars, or past radiation on the head or neck.
  • Your child does not have a tracheostomy (a breathing tube in the neck).
  • Your child is not having brain, spine, heart, or ear-nose-throat surgery.
