Who can take part

  • Your child is between 2 and 6 years old
  • Your child is scheduled for a planned (not emergency) surgery that requires a breathing tube through the mouth
  • Your child is in good health overall (ASA class I or II)
  • Your child has no known airway problems from birth, no swelling or scars on the neck or head, and no history of neck radiation or tracheotomy
