Hand and foot muscle study for less active adults

This study looks at a small muscle in the hand and foot that some people are born without. Researchers want to see if lacking that muscle affects how you move or your risk of injury. You might join if you are not very active and are between 18 and 80 years old.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You exercise less than 2 hours a week (or are mostly sedentary).
  • You do not have cancer that is being treated right now.
  • You do not have an active infection.
  • You do not have fibromyalgia or a major psychiatric condition.
  • You are not pregnant or likely pregnant.
  • You can feel normal pressure in your hands.
