Glymphatic MRI Study: Brain fluid imaging trial

This study uses special MRI scans to look at how fluid moves in your brain. It may help researchers understand brain health better. You'll also have a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) to test fluid.

Who can take part

  • You must be able to have an MRI scan (no metal implants, no claustrophobia, and not too heavy for the scanner).
  • Your kidney function must be good (a blood test called GFR should be 60 or higher).
  • You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or in jail.
  • You cannot have allergies to the MRI dye (gadolinium) or more than two drug allergies in total.
  • You cannot be on blood thinner medications, and you must not have had brain or spine surgery.
