Who can take part

  • You must have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that can be seen on a PET scan with a tumor at least 2 cm (about the size of a grape) in the lung or nearby lymph nodes
  • You are scheduled to have chemotherapy and immunotherapy before surgery to remove the tumor
  • You are generally healthy and able to take care of yourself (ECOG score of 0 or 1) and your lungs are strong enough for surgery
  • You have not had your spleen removed, and you have not received any vaccine or high-dose steroids in the 2 weeks before the trial starts
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
