Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have cancer of the oral cavity (mouth) or oropharynx (back of the throat).
- You are about to receive radiation therapy or chemo-radiation therapy.
- You are generally able to care for yourself (Karnofsky score greater than 60%).
- You are able to understand French and have health insurance in France.
- You have not had radiation to the head or neck before.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You do not have a pacemaker, epilepsy, or certain eye diseases.
- You are not allergic to polyurethane.
- You have not taken certain medications (like fluoroquinolones, cycline, methotrexate, or auranofin) in the last 7 days.
