  • You have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (spread beyond one lung).
  • You have not had any previous cancer treatment for this disease.
  • You are at least 18 years old and in fairly good health (able to care for yourself).
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
  • Your blood counts and liver/kidney function are within safe limits.
