Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with a condition that causes inflammation in the brain or spinal cord, such as ischemic stroke, autoimmune encephalitis, neuromyelitis optica, or multiple sclerosis.
- You are not claustrophobic (afraid of small spaces) or can manage being in an MRI machine.
- You do not have any metal implants in your body, like a pacemaker or metal clips.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Your kidneys work well enough (a test called GFR above 60).
- You are not allergic to the MRI contrast dye (gadolinium).
