Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia based on standard headache criteria.
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- Your pain is at least a 4 out of 10 on a pain scale and hasn't been controlled by medicines like carbamazepine or oxcarbazepine.
- You do not have classic or secondary trigeminal neuralgia from conditions like multiple sclerosis.
- You do not have an active infection at the injection site or in your body.
- You do not have a history of psychiatric disease, blood disorders, or serious health problems like uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart failure.
- You have not had certain previous treatments for trigeminal neuralgia, such as radiofrequency, balloon compression, gamma knife, or microvascular decompression.
- You are not taking blood thinners like aspirin or other antiplatelet or anticoagulant medications.
