Who can take part
- You are 18 to 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with primary trigeminal neuralgia (a type of severe facial pain) by a doctor.
- Your facial pain is severe (score of 7 or higher on a 0–10 scale) and hasn't been controlled well with medications like carbamazepine or oxcarbazepine.
- You have not had previous treatments like radiofrequency ablation, glycerol injection, balloon compression, gamma knife surgery, or microvascular decompression for this condition.
- You are generally healthy, without serious medical conditions like uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, mental illness, or a history of drug abuse.
