Who can take part

  • You are scheduled to have a planned (not emergency) TAVR procedure, which is a minimally invasive heart-valve replacement.
  • You have been taking a beta-blocker (a type of heart medication) for at least one month before the study starts.
  • You must be able to understand what the study involves and give your permission (informed consent).
  • You do not have a permanent pacemaker or need one right now.
  • You haven't had a bad reaction to beta-blockers before.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
