Comparing two radiofrequency tools for lower back pain

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have chronic lower back pain that does not radiate down your legs
  • You have already tried treatments like physical therapy or anti-inflammatory pills, but they did not help enough
  • You have been diagnosed with pain from the small joints in your spine (facet joints) by a pain specialist, and had two test injections that gave you over 80% pain relief for a short time
  • You have not had a lumbar radiofrequency ablation procedure before
  • You do not have metal hardware in your lower spine (between L3 and S1)
