Adding transcrocetin to standard therapy for glioblastoma

This study tests whether adding an experimental drug called Liposomal Transcrocetin (L-TC) to standard radiation and temozolomide chemotherapy works better than standard treatment alone for people with newly diagnosed glioblastoma. The trial has two groups: one for younger patients who haven't had surgery, and one for older patients who may or may not have had surgery.

Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed glioblastoma brain tumor.
  • If you are 70 or younger, you need a biopsy but no surgery; if over 70, age alone is not a barrier if you are generally healthy.
  • You must be able to have MRI scans and have acceptable blood counts and kidney/liver function.
  • You cannot have had prior brain radiation or any other treatment for this tumor except surgery.
  • You must not have serious ongoing diarrhea, digestive absorption problems, or another cancer within the last 5 years.
  • You must be willing to use effective birth control and not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
