Who can take part

  • You have moderate sleep apnea, shown by a recent sleep test, with a score between 15 and 50 events per hour.
  • You are not currently using a CPAP machine, mouthpiece, or tongue stimulator for sleep apnea, or you use them very little.
  • You have not had surgery for sleep apnea (except tonsil removal as a child).
  • You do not have severe lung problems, heart disease, kidney or liver disease, or a recent stroke.
  • You are not pregnant, not allergic to cannabis or sesame oil, and do not use illegal drugs or drink more than 10 alcoholic drinks weekly.
  • You are not a commercial driver or pilot, and you don't do shift work.
