Who can take part

  • You had a recent stroke caused by a blood clot (ischemic stroke).
  • You are over 40 years old.
  • You have a family member (like a parent, sibling, or child) who can join the study with you.
  • You do not have severe speech problems or dementia, and you are not currently being treated for anxiety or depression.
  • You are willing and able to have an MRI and a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation (like a mild electric current) if needed.
