  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been newly diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) and are starting standard TB treatment.
  • You do not have HIV, any active liver disease, or abnormal liver test results.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have no history of allergy to N-acetylcysteine (NAC).
  • You do not have cancer or a serious condition like advanced kidney disease, heart failure, or severe lung disease.
