Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with tuberculosis and have not started any anti-tuberculosis medicines yet.
  • You do not have HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C.
  • You do not have serious liver disease, COPD, asthma, heart failure, kidney disease, history of stroke, or heart attack.
  • You do not have a history of cancer, or conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, or alcohol use.
