Who can take part
- You had an ischemic stroke (caused by a blocked blood vessel in the brain), confirmed by a doctor and brain scan.
- This was your first and only stroke — you haven't had any other strokes before.
- Your stroke happened within the last 2 years.
- You are medically stable enough to be admitted to the hospital for the rehabilitation program.
- You must be able to understand the study procedures and give written consent to participate.
- You cannot have certain other brain conditions, like a brain tumor, bleeding in the brain, or other neurological diseases.
- You cannot have mental health conditions or severe memory/thinking problems (scoring below 20 on a standard cognitive test).
